We are offering a Coaching learning series, The Path to Well-being – Changing the Conversation.

These complex and uncertain times can feel overwhelming, and we are becoming increasingly aware of how this is impacting our well-being. We want to offer you an opportunity to learn practical and implementable tools in a bite-sized way, to help you feel better equipped and more confident, in how to navigate conversations that we are now facing in our work and home life.

These sessions provide tools and the opportunity to practice/tryout and experience first hand how to integrate a coaching approach in your everyday conversations.

Training Description

Coaching Capacity Training Session

Ian, Marc and Karen are excited about our transition to a virtual Zoom platform to deliver this training which we are able to offer, in unilingual English or in a bilingual format.

We continue to make this training practical, with the focus on how to bring a coaching approach and mindset to our everyday conversations. There will also be additional resources, tools, video learning material and frameworks introduced to participants that will allow them to experience a coaching community of practice process, for ongoing connection, engagement, and development.

What To Expect Before And During The Training

February 10th 2022--- 12:00 – 1:00 pm EST  
Pre-Call with Participants -- The coaching capacity training session starts with a pre-call with participants to connect with the session leaders Karen, Ian and Marc. The purpose is for us to connect with you, to share logistical details, to hear what you are hoping/looking to get out of this learning opportunity, and to answer any questions you might have.

A series of short videos and learning material, will be sent after our pre-call as part of the participant preparation for the Coaching Capacity Training Session February 15th, 16th, 17th ,18th 2022

February 15th 2022--- 11:30 am – 2:30 pm EST 
Day 1 we will be setting the stage for the learning environment, introducing a coaching conversation framework and experiencing a coaching conversation demonstration.

Our focus of development on day 1, will be on self-awareness and observation skills, the way we listen, and being in the flow of conversations. 

February 16th 2022 11:30 am – 2:30 pm EST 
Day 2 you will learn about the 5 ways we make action happen in language.  Participants will be introduced to a variety of tools and practices and have a chance to practice and integrate these into coaching conversations.

Our focus on development on day 2, will be building capacity in the conversation model flow, gaining clarity and focus, challenging assumptions, and perceptions, exploring possibilities and supporting others in finding their own solutions and way forward.

February 17th 2022 – 11:30 am – 3:00 pm EST 
Day 3 will start with a talk show format with the session leaders. Participants will have an opportunity to ask questions around what they have learned so far and tap into the session leader’s experiences, strategies and approaches in applying the coaching learning and tools in the workplace. Participants will be introduced to and practice, peer coaching/learning circles, and will practice coaching conversations in a group set-up with facilitation, feedback and support from the session leaders. As part of this process, participants will learn and experience a feedback model tool.

Our focus on development on day 3, will be building capacity in the conversation model flow, the power of asking open-ended questions, critical thinking skills and the role of pause.

February 18th 2022 – 11:30 am – 3:00 pm EST 
Day 4 our last day, will start with a final round of one-on-one coaching conversations and practicing giving and receiving feedback using the Feedback Tool. There will be an open question and answer session with the session leaders. Participants will be introduced to a 30 day Personal Accountability Agreement Tool, to identify their own way forward, to continue to practice, and to implement the coaching tools and approaches they have learned.

Post Session -- Learning Resources 

In addition to the video’s provided prior to the session, participants will be provided additional video resources to reference and re-fresh their coaching learning and development. A coaching capacity binder will also be provided in a pdf format.

Coaching Practice Boot Camp - Practice Makes Permanent

Training Description

The Coaching Practice Boot Camp leverages the learning and experience of the foundation training. The boot camp targets specific 'coaching muscles' to further strengthen and develop in order to build confidence and competence in engaging in coaching conversations. The Boot Camp runs for ten weeks and with 5 virtual group sessions (2 hours each). This format provides the opportunity for participants to practice their coaching skills and tools in a safe learning environment, with ongoing feedback, mentoring and coaching form the session leaders.

Coaching Capacity Refresher

Training Description

This virtual training opportunity is open to participants who have completed the Foundation training and are looking to refresh and fine tune their coaching approach.

Learning Objectives

  • The training sessions will be delivered in three 90-minutes blocks
  • The content and design will be participant driven based on their current and ongoing coaching training and development needs
  • Participants will be able to practice while receiving support and mentoring from the session leaders
